Dr. Surjan Singh Memorial Foundation is a registered not-for-profit trust as per the Trust Act of 1974 at New Delhi, India. The trust has been established as a social, educational, and cultural organization, established for welfare of the humanity based on mutual help.
The Dr. Surjan Singh Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit, non-governmental, non-religious trust, which is free from all sorts of political motives. These qualities of the Trust are enshrined within its charter and extent to all Trustees.
The Late Dr. Surjan Singh was born in the village of Kohra and struggled very hard in his early years to create a future for himself. Over the years, he rose to hold positions in leading international institutions around the world, and was respected as a fine educationist, scientist and administrator.
The foundation setup in his memory will strive to fulfill his dream to have more students from his village to get quality education and a quality life.
